PCOS and infertility by women

Inositol is a substance naturally produced by the human body at a rate of a few grams per day, acting as a messenger in the glucose metabolism.
In women, one of the main causes of infertility is the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), a state of hormonal imbalance that can manifest itself with symptoms such as: acne, hirsutism (excessive hair growth), insulin resistance, obesity , irregular menstrual cycles, anovulation, infertility.
The inositol produced by the human body plays a role in the processes of glucose metabolism and allows the maintenance of hormonal balance (insulin, testosterone, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), etc.).
In case of hormonal imbalance or PCOS, inositol is eliminated in larger quantities with the urine, resulting in an inositol deficiency.
Inositol intake compensates for this deficiency and restores its natural regulatory function, helping to restore ovulation and regular menstrual cycles and improving quality of oocytes.

Inositol helps to:

  • restore ovulation and regular menstrual cycles

  • improve the quality of oocytes

  • balance hormonal levels

  • improve symptoms related to PCOS

  • prevent the risk of gestational diabetes
